Increase Website Traffic Using SEO 4 Proven Strategies
Increase Website Traffic Using SEO: 4 Proven Strategies

Hey, what’s up, reader! How about the reader? Today I come with one of those posts that I like so much.

We are going to talk about content SEO and specifically how we can improve the organic traffic of our websites with an SEO action that many people do not carry out.

SEO, broadly speaking, consists of capturing organic traffic from search engines (mainly Google, which is the one we are interested in) to our websites.

And there are many ways to achieve this.

But what if I told you that there is a “simple” way to increase that organic traffic?

Professional niche and a born entrepreneur, creator, among many other things, of the ASAP theme.

Method #1—Finding Opportunity Keywords with Search Console

But first things first:

What are opportunity keywords?

They are those words that are being positioned for a certain article but that we do not have included within that article.

Why do we call them opportunity keywords?

Because if we identify keywords that are not included in our article but are ranking in Google for that article, we have found a golden nugget.

Why?

Because if we add those words within the content (either by generating new headings based on those keywords or by adding them in existing paragraphs), it is very likely that they will improve their positioning, and thus we will get more traffic quickly and without much effort.

Let’s look at a practical example of how to perform a basic, but very effective, healing using this technique:

The first thing we have to do is enter Search Console and sort all the URLs of our website by “Impressions,” from highest to lowest.

Like this:

Why do I sort pages by impressions?

To find the URLs, I need to improve first.

Let me explain:

The greater the discrepancy between impressions and clicks, the more room for improvement those URLs have.

For example, “Website Builder vs. DIY” has more than three million impressions but is nowhere near being the URL with the most clicks.

That will be the first URL we’ll improve.

Not bad.

The next thing we will do is identify the keywords that are ranking for that specific page but that we do not have included in our article.

To do this, we select the specific page we want to analyze and then check the words one by one to check whether or not they are within our article.

We can do this with the first 10 or 20 consultations.

Why do we do this?

Because, as I said above, if we add these words within the content, it is likely that they will improve their positioning, and thus we will get more traffic without much effort.

For example, for that article, the keyword “when is Sonia’s saint celebrated” is being positioned, but it is not within the content, and that search intention is not even being answered within the article.

What could we do then?

Add an H2 heading on “When is Sonia’s saint celebrated” within the “Meaning of the name Sonia” article and create content about that particular subtitle.

Finally, we rely on ChatGPT to write a few lines on this topic.

Voila!

We could do this same process with other keywords that are ranking for that article but are not within the content, and then we move on to the next article, and so on.

However, you should keep in mind some considerations:

It is not always necessary to create headings, but we can also distribute some of these keywords by generating new paragraphs or even adding them to existing paragraphs.

You can also add them within lists or even image ALT.

Do this with a maximum of 10 or 12 keywords, no more; it is not about adding 200 keywords for each article because it would be very weird and forced.

By doing this, I got results like this in other niches:

Automating this process with Content Curator

Method #2—Automating this process with Content Curator

The only problem with the above method is that it will take us several minutes for each item.

If our website has about 50 articles, we could spend several hours doing this. Not to mention if we have 100, 200, or more.

It is true that it is okay to take a few minutes for each article if we know that it is likely that we will increase our traffic a lot.

But there’s a much better solution, and I’m not just saying that because I’m the father of this creature, but because it will really save you a lot of time.

What exactly does this tool do?

It connects with Search Console and automatically detects keywords that are ranking for your articles but are not included in the content and shows them to you in a very visual and intuitive way.

Can you imagine how much time this could save you?

But it doesn’t end there.

Content Curator also connects with ChatGPT to create the texts without having to leave WordPress and without the need for prompts.

All you have to do is select a keyword, click “Run Healing,” and then open a beer (or coffee, or whatever you prefer) while Content Curator works for you.

Thus, a process that would take us several minutes to do manually, thanks to Content Curator, takes us a few seconds:

Once generated, we can copy the content very easily and then place it inside the article, all in a matter of seconds and without leaving WordPress.

But wait, there’s more.

The plugin also has several bulk curation features, such as:

Add opportunity keywords in bulk on all your items.

Add AI-generated featured images.

Add several free stock images within your content.

Regenerate the title and description meta tags to increase your CTR on Google.

And a long list of integrated functions.

All that in just a few clicks, which could save you literally dozens of hours…

Do you need a content curator to improve your articles and increase your traffic?

No, of course not.

As we saw above, the process can be done manually without spending a penny.

But with Content Curator, you will save a lot of time and headaches.

Method #3—Stealing Keywords from Our Competitors

As we saw before, using Search Console is perfect for improving our articles because we will be working on real data and keywords that are already ranking in Google.

But there is something else we can do to semantically enhance our content.

I’m talking about spying on our competitors, seeing what keywords they’re ranking for, and stealing them from them.

How do we do this?

The main keyword would be “Meaning of the name Gael.”.

With this keyword, we go to Google and do a search to see who’s ranking first or second for that query.

For example:

Once we identify it, we copy the URL and go to our trusted SEO tool, DinoRANK, and analyze it to see what keywords are ranking for that particular URL.

Be careful, not the entire domain, but only that URL.

Like this:

Why are we interested in those keywords?

Well, because if the first result for the query we want to rank includes all those keywords, I could also include them if I want to enhance it semantically.

In the image above, the ones that appear are the typical keywords that I am already working on, but if I investigate a little more deeply, I can find keywords such as:

Origin of the name Gael

What Gael Means in the Bible

How Gael is spelled

All of these are very interesting queries to work on in an article that talks about the meaning of the name Gael, and we were able to find them thanks to spying on our competitors.

Method #4—Google's 'More Questions' Section

Google’s ‘More Questions’ section is another great way to find long-tail keywords with low competition.

Did you see those recommendations that appear above when you search?

Well.

Well, we can take advantage of them to extract dozens of keyword ideas for our articles.

Look at what happens when I search for, for example, “my baby sighs a lot when he sleeps”:

If they appear there, it’s because someone is making those queries, and Google understands that they’re related to our main article.
